@markkaplan20 What you didn’t mention is what came first, the heart attack and then the 40 mg of rosuvastatin; or 40 mg of rosuvastatin for primary prevention.I suspect the former
@RealDACinNYC@LiveAncestral There have been dozens of RTC trials over the years that have shown reduced cardiovascular events and mortality particularly in high risk patients; you can query AI.Also a recent study out of Korea showed a significant risk reduction in dementia in older people with LDLs <70
@LiveAncestral That’s ridiculous;what’s good for you is not necessarily good for everyone else.I have been a practicing internist for over 40 years and statins have clearly prevented many heart attacks in my experience
@RealDACinNYC@LiveAncestral And your Cardio team is right!!Statins do more then lower LDL cholesterol;they harden soft plaque so it doesn’t rupture which can then lead to a heart attack; they reduce inflammation which damages the walls of arteries leading to more plaque build up!and overwhelming safe!
@afshineemrani What randomized clinical trials provide evidence that vitamin D levels of 50-80 are optimal ?Vitamin D and its touted benefits is very nuanced .
@fitzonsportsbsr The Browns as a team needed a new voice. Many great QB’s have sat for a few years and were not stunted in their development. These are a fan’s perspective .The Cleveland media seems to think the Browns are tanking so let Shedeur prove himself .I disagree
@fitzonsportsbsr If a smart, offensive coach like Monken sees that Watson can play ,why can’t he be like a Sam Darnold with the right system and coaching. He certainly underperformed before but he deserves credit for working hard to get back on the field when he has guaranteed money to not play
