The BJP rank and file has activated crisis mode. They do this whenever faced with a setback, personal differences, small ego battles are set aside. Decades of being in the opposition has taught them that. Being in office has come after years of struggle.
The students are at top priority, educationally n security-wise, so they need not worry and have their parents worried for them. The Honorable Prime Minister has tweeted, and I am sure that he will take strict action against all those people who are responsible for this leak. So students, plz go back to your parents n homes.
Sonam, it's done, bro. Don't extend this. Keep the spirit for another day if there be a need, which I doubt, n eat something. If u want, will send u food from home.
Great list. Let me add a few that I usually start with. Modi had the guts to make public defecation an issue and ensured the building of toilets. Parallel with this was ensuring the supply of water and electricity to those who did not have any. In the late 90s and early 2000s, the more common mockery about India was rows of people defecating along railway tracks. That is virtually gone now. The vision needed to make everyone open a bank account for direct digital aid transfer was a masterstroke - a word that is mocked by critics. Yesterday I was speaking to a cousin who is a former dean of the U. of Berkeley, Amreeka. He said that the global level of absolute poverty went down by 5% because of the raising of 300 million Indian above absolute poverty line. And as @ShamikaRavi points out, all these factors have reduced infant mortality in India - which used to be at a shameful level when I was a medical student.
Protests will continue in one form or the other till the UP polls.
2027 UP elections are like the 2012 Gujarat elections. The other side will do everything to stop the next leader in line & bring down the current one at the same time.
Crucial time for Modi-Yogi.
INDIA'S MANUFACTURING SECTOR COULD GROW 2.8X TO $1.5 TRILLION BY 2035 AS INDUSTRIAL POLICY, REFORMS AND A MULTI-YEAR CAPEX SUPER-CYCLE DRIVE STRONG EXPANSION.
Mesopotamia was never the cradle of civilisation. India was.
I spent forty years in international shipping, not academia. When I began researching the history of maritime trade, I had no orthodoxy to defend. I followed the evidence, and it kept arriving in the same place: the Indian subcontinent.
Nineteenth century archaeologists dug in Mesopotamia because the climate preserved artefacts, the biblical sources pointed them there, and the Ottomans allowed the excavations. That is the entire basis for the myth of Mesopotamia as "the cradle of civilisation."
Nobody applied the same rigour to India. Mohenjo-daro was not discovered until 1922. By then the narrative had already hardened.
What was actually there was the largest civilisation of the ancient world. Three hundred cities. Fifty thousand people in each, by 2600 BC. Two thirds of them stood on the banks of the Sarasvati, the central and greatest of the seven rivers described in the Rig Veda, flowing down from the Himalayas before the river vanished entirely by 1900 BC. The Vedic kings claimed territory stretching "sea to sea," from Afghanistan to Maharashtra, some 1.5 million square miles, against Egypt's 13,000. A dock at Lothal built to handle thirty ships of sixty tons, unmatched in Europe for four thousand years. When it was first excavated, it was recorded as a bathing pool.
When the scale became impossible to dismiss, the theory was not corrected. It was replaced with a story of pale-skinned nomads from the steppe who supposedly arrived around 1500 BC and brought civilisation with them. There is no evidence. The chronology doesn't work. The Vedas describe no invasion.
In 2019 a Harvard-led genetic study revived the claim, and the press reported it as confirmation. It was not. The same study found the builders of these cities were indigenous. The Sarasvati river that the Rig Veda described had already dried up before these newcomers arrived. What the study also found is that a small group of men, arriving after the Sarasvati had already dried up, interbred with the existing population and left a genetic signature. That is all.
So, where they chose to dig was mostly an accident of climate and access. The Aryan invasion theory was constructed because an Indian civilisation that owed nothing to Caucasians was a fact the late nineteenth century could not accommodate.

Today, I just narrowly escaped on ORR soon after entering from the Shamsabad Entry. I was negotiating a turn when a RMC truck suddenly came from the wrong side. God just saved me. Please take necessary action.
Extremely important.
Respected @Dev_Fadnavis Ji
It looks like someone is backstabbing you and your party, BJP.
Dr Anand Bang is your advisor. His family runs the NGOs Nirman and SEARCH.
Their NGO, Nirman, is actively taking part in a protest in support of Sonam Wangchuk.
Most shockingly, the mastermind of the entire protest in Delhi and the Gandhi family’s close associate, Yogendra Yadav, is a resource person along with other leftists like Ramchandra Guha.
@CMOMaharashtra@PMOIndia
This is Rafiq Hussain Bhattuk. He was a leader in Godhra, owned two petrol pumps, and it was he who arranged the petrol used to burn the Sabarmati train. He remained absconding for 14 years. The Gujarat Intelligence Bureau had kept his relatives and family members under surveillance, with all their phones being monitored. One day, he called his son because he had become a grandfather. The surveillance traced his location to Delhi. He then told his son that he would secretly come to Godhra on a certain date because he wanted to see his grandson.
The police decided it would be better to let him come to Godhra rather than arrest him in Delhi. He arrived in Godhra, where police officers in plain clothes were stationed at the railway station and arrested him.
Yesterday, all of his crimes were proven in court, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Remember when Lalu Yadav used to say that the fire on the Sabarmati Express in Godhra had started on its own and that no one had set it? After confessing everything, he told the police that he had spent those 14 years living in Lajpat Rai Market in Old Delhi.
Just think about how vast the ecosystem of these religious terrorists is. Did any journalist report this news?
“India First.”
Jai Shri Ram.
He's Tukaram Mundhe, a 2005-batch IAS from Maharashtra.
Over the last few weeks, you might have heard his name. That is because he was recently appointed Commissioner of State’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Since taking charge, the FDA has been on an absolute warpath, raiding illegal, fake, synthetic, and adulterated products. From synthetic milk networks and adulterated paneer to illegal gutkha and unhygienic eateries, nothing has escaped his radar.
Mundhe has made it clear that even the most famous names will not get a free pass. His department shocked Mumbai by suspending the food licenses of iconic establishments, such as the 73-year-old Marine Drive ice cream parlor K. Rustom & Co., alongside famous eateries like Shalimar Hospitality, Noor Mohammadi Hotel, and Rahmaniya Restaurant, after surprise inspections uncovered severe hygiene violations, including live pests and expired ingredients.
Such is the fear of his crackdowns that, just two days ago, dairy farmers were caught on video spilling hundreds of liters of synthetic milk after rumors of an impending FDA raid spread.
This is his 25th transfer in a 21-year career, a testament to his refusal to bend to political pressure. It makes you wonder: if just one IAS officer can bring about so much change, where would our country be if every bureaucrat were as uncompromising and proactive as him?
Here’s a story. Uttarakhand cricket team used to sing GuruGobindSingh’s beautiful hymn “Deh Siva Bar Mohe” before entering the pitch. Nobody had a problem forever until @WasimJaffer14 was made the coach. He served less than a year but made sure the “religious” prayer was removed.
