🔷Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) is a rare condition caused by the compression of nerves or blood vessels in the passageway between your lower neck and upper chest.

🔷While it primarily manifests as Neurogenic (nerve compression, making up about 95% of cases), it can also be Venous or Arterial.

🔷Because TOS is widely misunderstood or unknown within the medical community, patients face an average diagnostic journey of several years and 7 to 8 specialists—often being told their disabling physical pain, numbness, and tingling is just "in their head".

🔷Compounding this fight, experienced care is exceptionally rare: vascular surgeons treat these conditions, but with only 5 high-volume TOS centers in the entire United States, patients are routinely forced to travel out of state or out of the country to get the expert care they need.

As usual in times like this with hot funds and private keys lost and a looming redemption period coming up, scammers will latch on and contact users to provide seed phrases only to be drained completely of all assets, not just Cardano related. This is a very dangerous time for victims of SecondFi and scammers know and exploit this, stay safe!

If you are impacted by SecondFi and wait on redemption, follow these 4 rules:

1. Remain calm, there will be plenty of time to redeem once the redeem window starts, probably years, or likely forever. Do not rush! When unsure, do not act!

2. Check that when a redeem option is given, this comes from the official SecondFi account. Do not trust any other account, especially no DM. Also double check anything posted by this account on plausibility. Any account associated with SecondFi is right now a prime target for hackers.

3. Triple check the official redemption portal once live. Do not rush to use it, wait on confirmation from multiple accounts you trust, before interacting.

Why?

You will most likely have to submit a zero knowledge proof of the most critical secret you have: Your seed phrase, once the official redemption portal is live.

In hot wallets which are affected by this, by definition you regularly have to enter your seed phrase on your online device to set up new wallet software. You should be kinda used to this. This step in itself is super dangerous. If you enter this in a fake wallet, your seed won't be encrypted and stored locally, but transmitted in plaintext to the scammers impersonating an official tool / wallet. If you enter this on a compromised computer a key logger or screen grabber will capture your seed and transmit this to scammers...

I hope and assume SecondFi will come up with a decent process for redemption where you can input your seed while your host is offline in some tool to construct the zero knowledge proof, then reboot, then go online, inspect the zero knowledge proof and only then submit this online.

4. If this process has stressed you, this is a great time to consider investing in a hardware wallet to redeem the hot wallet funds on a cold wallet, so you never have to worry about such software wallet bugs ever again.

@20min Eine Tragik, die man hätte verhindern können. Leider tun sich die Ärzte immer noch schwer damit, ihre dementen PatientInnen zu melden. Die Angehörigen leider auch.
Es sollte eine Altersobergrenze geben. Das würde Unfälle verhindern. Autofahren ist kognitiv anspruchsvoll

@20min Es wäre sinnvoller zu hinterfragen, wieso dass die OPs nicht erfolgreich waren. Fehldiagnosen, Überdiagnosen, Pfusch, magelnde Eigenverantwortung bzw Faulheit der Betroffenen, die Schmerzen zB mit konservativen und alternativen Behandlungsmethoden anzugehen. Bedeutet halt Arbeit
