@Dr_KTaylor @aswolberg Of course the collaborators are the best!
I am in transit right now - what about chatting end of next week when I am in (almost) your time zone (Germany)?
@Dr_KTaylor Hi Kirk. My lab also has an opening - no need for big coats in North Carolina :-) And with your background on ion channels and platelets/MKs you would be a great fit. Happy to talk about details …

Our kids have done remote learning for a year now - last night Chapel Hill received 1/4 inch of snow (no accumulation on the road) - and they called a SNOW DAY before the snow even fell???!!! “Enjoy the snow” the message said - working on a 1 inch snowman right now :-)
I have a message for all the little girls and boys out there who dream of growing up to be superheroes: Superheroes walk among us.
They’re teachers, doctors, scientists, vaccine researchers—and you can grow up to be like them too.
@JishnuSenGupta @nih_nhlbi @JHMorrissey I am super excited to get this project started! But frankly today all I care about is the amazing and inspiring speech given by our new president! Unity, hope, inclusiveness ... Not mentioned but equally important: a news cycle that is informative rather than exhausting!
via @NYTimes; fantastic article on Coronavirus variants - most import line at the very end - it will likely take several years before the virus has accumulated enough mutations to avoid recognition by current vaccines. Go get vaccinated! https://t.co/LpG7nXsDf3
Just had a lengthy discussion about the dangers and values of getting vaccinated (exhausting!). At one point the movie “I am legend” was thrown into the mix, describing the human race being wiped out by a virus created to combat cancer. Is that what we people are afraid of?
@DipaolaJorge Sorry for your loss, brother. He was without a doubt the greatest player I have seen in my lifetime. Pretty much single handedly willed Argentina to World Cup glory in ‘86. Almost did it again in ‘90.
To anyone considering sitting this election out, look at this image. Then make a plan to vote. You're an inspiration to all of us, Brian — and we're all behind you in this fight.
@Clot1 Love the discussion about the fly on Twitter. “... the clear winner of the VP debate was - Jeff Goldblum”, “that fly knew its 2 minute time limit”, ...
