Yes agreed with this. Think there are two separate problems. 1. The red card was bad. 2. FIFA being notoriously corrupt and having zero transparency and just allowing Balogun to play without providing details is also bad. And Trump taking credit makes FIFA look even worse

So in soccer I’m sure there’s certain things that are worthy of an instant ejection. I just don’t think what Flo or the England guy did were so egregious that they deserved that

@Timo_NFL @casmerides @benbbaldwin I disagree with the whole concept of not allowing a player to play in the next game if they get a red card. Having to play with 10 for the rest of the current game feels like more than enough as far as a consequence goes, but that’s a whole other argument haha

@Timo_NFL @benbbaldwin I disagree, I think the yellow card is a catch all for basically anything the ref has a problem with and that that can cause problems. For reds, based on the definitions, I don’t see how Balogun got one, which to me is a good reason to have an appeals process!
