E o detalhe que é a cereja no topo do sundae: quando a bola chega no Pelé no ataque, Tostão apontando o corredor direito - sabendo que o lateral Fachetti estava acompanhando Pelé na marcação - onde Carlos Alberto faria a ultrapassagem. Detalhe mínimo, mas saborosíssimo.

A magia desse gol, na minha opinião o mais bonito da história do futebol: entre o desarme do Everaldo e o gol, os únicos jogadores do Brasil a não encostarem na bola são o zagueiro Brito e o goleiro Felix. Todos os outros NOVE participam do lance.
