Munich is not only a beautiful city but also a place where MRI research thrives! 🧲
I am pleased to announce that our lab will host this year's Deutsche Sektion ISMRM (DACH-ISMRM) Labtour "Hyper and Hops" organized by Dr. Martin Grashei.

All of this would not have been possible without the continuous support of my family for which I am deeply grateful. I am glad my children could join me for the official appointment and share this special moment with me.
🤝 I am happy to have so many supportive and like-minded colleagues and collaborators at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, at TUM and all around the globe both in industry and academia. Together with you I look forward to create the future of imaging!
🧲 We are on our way to the the @ISMRM taking place in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Take the chance and engage with our team presenting our most recent research results according to our translational goal - from molecules to mice to men!
We are looking forward to meet you!
Aloha 🌺
We are looking forward to the 20th European Molecular Imaging Meeting in Bilbao organised by the European Society for Molecular Imaging. If you are interested in recent research from our group – come by and meet our presenters! #EMIM2025
As 2024 comes to an end I want to thank you on behalf of the entire team for your collaboration, support and enthusiasm. We are looking forward to continue advancing the field of magnetic resonance together and to seeing you in 2025.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
for pH mapping using deep learning were developed, and the feasibility of hyperpolarized imaging of metabolism and pH within a multimodal clinical PET/MRI protocol in feline tumor patients was demonstrated.

🎓 🎉 Congratulations, Martin Grashei to an excellent PhD defense!
Martin took us away in his presentation on "Novel hyperpolarized 13C MRI techniques for quantification of pH and metabolism in vivo"
pHIn addition, a deeper insight into the metabolic plasticity of tumor cells and its effects on hyperpolarized 13C was gained. In vivo, a new pH probe and acquisition strategy for multiparametric hyperpolarized 13C in tumors and kidneys was presented. New analytical approaches
🏆 Congratulations to Dr. Athanasia Kaika, our most recent PhD, for winning the award for the best presentation at the 2nd Panhellenic Congress of Medical Physics which took place on October 4-6 in Athens.
