The case of Zimbabwean journalist and political prisoner Blessed Mhlanga was brought up today in the British Parliament by Member of the House of Lords, Lord Johnny Oates.
He told parliamentarians that Mhlanga was jailed for interviewing war veteran Blessed Geza, who is opposed to Emmerson Mnangagwa’s attempt to extend his term of office and for exposing the criminality of the President and his family.
He also urged British parliamentarians to take Auxilia Mnangagwa to task and challenge her when she visits Britain in June.
He asked the British government to make it clear that there will be no resumption of normal relations between itself and Mnangagwa’s brutal regime in Zimbabwe.
The British government has already opposed the regime’s readmission into the Commonwealth.
