@voidpires my elopement doesnt endanger me, but there have been several instances where I wander off in stores, malls, honestly any big space where there's lots to see. its scared my parents and my partner half to death before and I dont see why I cant speak about that experience yk.
just leave earlier. literally just adjust your schedule to an hour earlier if it's so hard and stick to that schedule. at some point it stops being incidental and it just shows a lack of respect for everyone else's time.
I'm so tired of lateness being viewed as a moral failing. I've been shamed for it my whole life because it's framed as "disrespect" (and no, it hasn't helped me be more punctual) and if I lost out on a major life opportunity because of it I don't think I could have ever recovered
@dilrhubarb its just a fact. its disrespectful to set a time with someone and miss it for the most bullshit reasons. the time blindness excuse only goes so far, it stops being an actual reason at some point. if people can't rely on you to be on time, what else cant they rely on you for?
