🔥 Anika Nilles is ABSOLUTELY KILLING IT with Rush!
Watch her bring massive power, precision, groove, and heart behind the kit alongside Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. She’s amazing indeed — honoring Neil’s legacy while making it her own 🤘🥁
Unfortunate that Pete Hegseth--ideological heir to the GOP's isolationist/pro-Nazi America First faction--failed to punctuate this grotesquely ironic xenophobic rant by treating the crowd to a viewing of "Der Ewige Jude" on a giant smartscreen. A missed multimedia opportunity.
@StephenWickens1@ThePaikinPod Am I mistaken or has every LPC MP who’s gotten elected in Spadina-Fort York explicitly opposed airport expansion and/or allowing jets? If Carney fails to stop this, he’s risking losing that riding.
This Canadian is being much too polite - as usual. Canada should admit AmeriKKKa as its 4th territory, and grant it provincial status only after it has proven it can govern itself responsibly.
@ABHank76467601 We’re not crying. We’re just tired of the abuse and hostility and scorn you ppl heap on the rest of Canada. You are a minority in your own province. So rather than trying to take the province out of the country, why don’t you just move to where you’d be more welcome?
Nobody did any such thing to Alberta. Trudeau — at considerable cost to his political capital — got a pipeline built for Alberta and the province’s response was “Fuck Trudeau” — a totally unfair sentiment that Smith was only too happy to exploit for her own gain.
Smith during the presser today in Quebec "I think we have to be very clear that the people of my province are very upset with the way we've been treated for the last 10 years"
"An example I gave in my speech was, imagine if an Alberta politician had come here and tried to shut down your hydroelectric business and say you couldn't develop your aluminum industry anymore."
"That's what Stephen Guilbault did to our province, and that's the reason why people are so frustrated and why they lost hope."
"It costs jobs, it cost economic growth. It cost us our ability to generate revenues to pay for the things that we care about." @ABDanielleSmith
@ABHank76467601 You people act as if you’re the world’s greatest creators of wealth, when in fact for the last century you’ve been living off the profits from the lake of oil and gas you’ve been lucky enough to live on top of — not to mention all the govt subsidies that industry consumes.
It's fun to compare and contrast reactions on Canada's right to anonymous unsourced allegations of Chinese interference that had a negligible impact on our politics and to the massive interference/destabilisation campaign being run out of the White House.
Clowns and frauds, all.
@rodmickleburgh Clay is definitely not Felix’s surface. He did well to get to the QF. I think his disappointment stems from seeing the draw open up for him to the point that he had a real shot at making the final and maybe even winning it all — then not being able to take full advantage.
I have been overwhelmed by the number of people that have come up to me on the streets of Montreal to wish me well as we prepare for our move to the United States. They also expressed deep regret and consternation at the unfolding realities in Montreal. The most heartbreaking feature of this is that it was all self-inflicted by a society and a government drowning in ill-conceived policies (rooted in parasitic suicidal empathy). Ideas have consequences.
