@seaChicken96 @nasmadotali Because the gain on sale on a principal residence is taxable in the US. In Canada you can also write off mortgage interest on investment properties. I prefer the Canadian methodology.
@WriterDanee@tamarammarie@krassenstein Not to mention the long standing “tradition” of releasing tax returns which was recently ended by tfg. If you don’t make it a law, it won’t be done consistently.
@MattMcInnis6@Rudolf_Neumayer@AndrewLawton I’m not sure I ever heard that any Covid vaccine was supposed to be 100% effective. With Covid vaccines it appears to improve odds of survival by about 75% in this table presented. I’d be interested in knowing your source for 100% effectiveness.
@Rudolf_Neumayer@AndrewLawton You are assuming the chart is showing 100K of each group (protected and not). This is not the case. The header of the chart clearly says the 100K is those hospitalized and deceased. If you don’t agree with the header of the chart, you and I will never agree on what it’s saying.
@Rudolf_Neumayer@AndrewLawton The chart is breaking down the 100K by those protracted and those unprotected. The left most column is showing the headers for those two groups. Maybe I’m not sure what you are asking or looking at.
@Rudolf_Neumayer@AndrewLawton The header of the chart literally says “…rate per 100,000 for hospitalized and deceased cases…”, not for protected and unprotected cases.
@Rudolf_Neumayer@AndrewLawton Of every 100K hospitalized, there were about 48 protected and 39 unprotected who died. In Canada about 5 people are protected for every 1 that is not. So 5x39=195 is the protected deaths expected if the stats for each group were the same. There were only 48, abt 25% of “expected”
@FPLofC@areacode416 Moving into a new condo recently, as a condition of closing, the builder required 11 post dated cheques for the monthly “rent” between first and second close. They may only use a few of them by the time the second close happens. There were no options to cheques.
@KLGDCF @drhumki It’s like asking why cities like Atlanta, GA get paralyzed each time there is 2” of snow fall (‘14 Snowmaggedon). They don’t invest in snow ploughs, winter tires, melters and salters, highway and airport equip. etc. for a rare event. Northern cities don’t have a problem with 2”.
@JoanneKMcD @SheriffHCSO@HVLPD@ncdhhs@JoshStein_ Either the 3year old was able to find the ammo, load it into the gun, find the safety, disengage it, and pull the trigger OR there is significant negligence/child endangerment here and someone should be spending a LONG time behind bars.
BREAKING NEWS: Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff files the first bill in U.S. history to ever GUARANTEE the voting rights of EVERY American, closing loopholes in the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that continue to be exploited by Republicans. RT if you support it!
State sanctioned pedophilia in North Carolina. This was awful in the 1800’s but still in 2021? What are they thinking?

@gayleshere @CBCQueensPark You sound very judgy, prejudiced even, based solely on postal code. Really?
Have you thought that perhaps there are factors at play here that are beyond the residents’ control? Lower income, predominantly front line, denser housing, factory worker, no ability to work from home?
