@SchoolVdp The @SchoolVdp grad students are so insightful, and asked brilliant questions. I wasnโt kidding when I said, over & over, โThatโs a great question!โ Honored to be among you all today!
@jasonintrator A whirlwind of questions ๐ช In-groups/ out-groups, shared practices and coalition-building; divergent accommodation and value-flipping; context-sensitive effects of banned words; material vs. speech practices; presupposition and normalisation!
Can't believe that was our last round of student presentations! ๐ญ The only consolation is that we hope to keep following all this phenomenal work as it progresses ๐ฅฐ
@LynneTirrell That's been a *hugely* inspiring discussion! Questions on the nuances of bystander resistance, pervasive toxicity, toxicity vs. hate, the power of metaphor, the role for anger/ humour/ respect/ shame, the ugly side of self-care, and extensions of the epidemiological framework ๐
@shaslang ๐ That was a great discussion! We talked about resistance at different levels, conceptual change vs. other activist strategies, the role of galvanising images, the impact of philosophy, and interdisciplinary connections. It's been another wonderful day!
Yay it's student presentation time! ๐ It's also the last day of room 3, which has been chaired by our two fantastic doctoral co-organisers @SonjaRiegler1 and Flora Lรถffelmann - THANK YOU! ๐ฅฐ๐ #superstars
@ediazleon So many fab questions, on explanatory vs. moral/ practical considerations, discovering vs. constructing kinds, choosing between conceptual engineering strategies, selecting between communities of thinkers, and addressing hermeneutical injustices ๐คฉ
It's day 4! Today is all about conceptual engineering and resistance ๐ Gotta say, the team of instructors this week is beyond our wildest dreams - today we have the absolutely magnificent @shaslang and @ediazleon ๐คฏ #conceptualengineering#resistance
