The Onion has acquired Infowars in a bankruptcy auction.
They plan to debut a new Infowars in January that will serve as parody, mocking weird Internet personalities like Alex Jones.
The Onion CEO says they acquired it because “this is the funniest thing that has ever happened”
This hits from @KeeangaYamahtta, about the urgency of growing mass politics:
“The left is inhospitable to people who are not like it. So we are reduced to groups of friends & likeminded people who like to stay that way. We can’t grow like that! We can’t get big like that.”
the popular vote being closer now is a good warning of how sneakily election analysis bleeds into sweeping claims about "the state of the nation." if less than 1% of the country voting differently would have resulted in you having the total opposite analysis, is it really right?
Bernie Sanders responds to Nancy Pelosi's statement that "I don't respect him saying that the Democratic Party has abandoned the working class."
SANDERS: "We have not even brought forth legislation to raise the minimum wage to a living wage, despite the fact that some 20 million people in this country are working for less than $15 an hour in America today...if you're an average working person out there, do you really think that the democratic party is going to the mats, taking on powerful special interest and fighting for you? I think the overwhelming answer is no."
It’s time for working people to unite and fight against the incoming MAGA administration and the system that sustains it. Join the Democratic Socialist resistance and build a mass movement for racial, economic, & social justice to beat fascism at its root! https://t.co/KBlerckDUX
BTW, he's part of that high income base. Don't let all these fakes (Ryan is included in this) start acting like they know what's up or are progressive in some way.
They are not. And sold us out just like the rest of the Dem establishment.
6/ We don't listen enough; we tell people what's good for them.
And when progressives like Bernie aggressively go after the elites that hold people down, they are shunned as dangerous populists. Why? Maybe because true economic populism is bad for our high-income base. 😬
DSA is breaking attendance records in the wake of Trump’s victory because the Democratic Party has failed us. Only a mass working class movement will save us.

A direct line runs through grocery prices and fascism: disillusionment in our democracy.

Last night was a much needed balm as we process the election. What was initially a space to recharge, quickly became a fun and impromptu DSA 101. It’s clear there is an appetite for a world beyond what's currently being offered to us and we're excited to help build that together!
On Tuesday, a fascist was elected President. The impacts will be profound for working people everywhere.
The Democrats got millions fewer votes than 2020. They failed.
To stop Project 2025 and win the livable green future we all deserve, we need a fighting left alternative.
It's on us to build a movement that beats the threat of fascism and dismantles the capitalist, extractive, and racist systems that sustain it; a movement that beats hate and fear with community and solidarity.
Join us this Saturday https://t.co/4nyxw4jmtO
