@easyJet hi. We had a group booking travelling from Gatwick to Faro this morning. Government guidelines it reads you do not need a pre departure test as it was abolished from today 4th October. Why were we denied access to the flight and had to get tested at the airport 1/2

@easyJet Is no longer required. I’m now glad we are both familiar with this. So I’ll ask again why were we denied access to boarding our flight when a negative test is no longer needed here in the UK and entering Portugal if showing digital Covid certificate as we did? Thanks

@doneast86 @easyJet Yes you do. We didn’t have negative tests to show this morning on our flight from Gatwick to faro, Portugal. We had digital Covid certificates. We were denied boarding, had to book new flights costing £900 and got tested at airport. Government removed pre departure tests from 1/2

And book another flight as we didn’t have a negative Covid test as per government website stating this no longer required from this today. You repeatedly say you follow government guidelines on this, so why haven’t you followed it? It’s cost us £900 to rebook new flights
