@youngvulgarian Also although if you're having extra beats ect this could be missed on a single ECG but if the heart shape has changed as a consequence of covid this would be suggested on a single ECG and prompt further investigation, so overall sensible request.

@youngvulgarian I mean we don't have a lot of experience on this one but there have been reports of cardiac complications with covid so if you're worried I would have an honest conversation with your gp about long covid. I don't know your history but it seems a reasonable request.

Thanks for asking Abby, tachycardia may be physiological, to compensate for a low blood volume, or an adrenergic response to an external stimulus. But it can also be due to primary pathologies of the heart, such as ventricular tachycardia, or accessory pathways.
