We are beyond grateful Lue Yang is home and in time for the holidays, thanks in part to the tireless efforts of Rep. @MaiXiongMI and Michigan’s Hmong community. Mr. Yang and his family should have never had to endure what they did.
Estimated change in income under the US House's tax plan is wild.
Americans making <$51k: $700 less income per year
The top 0.1% of earners: $389k more https://t.co/Fz0vjy20Pf
As the Dad of a CHD #HeartWarrior, our family closely watches the advancement of medical breakthroughs w/the hope that my 9yr old daughter could face one less future surgery, setback or unknown. These cuts will cost lives & hurt our kids’ futures. 💔

Trump wants to spend millions of dollars to throw himself a birthday parade. Maybe DOGE should look into how much taxpayer money is being wasted to boost Trump's ego. https://t.co/Pkv46opLIR
Our country is being robbed by the ultra wealthy and well connected so that they can get even more tax breaks. Why do they go after programs that help the most vulnerable? For people who have never been through tough times, those programs are just words and numbers on paper.
The Republican Vice Chair of the Michigan House Appropriations Committee calls for the elimination of intermediate school districts (ISDs).
ISDs provide special education, career-technical programs & save money by consolidating services like payroll, bulk purchasing and IT.
Across Michigan, Medicaid helps 1 in 4 people get the care they need–including half of our kids. Cuts to Medicaid would impact life-saving care for hundreds of thousands of Michiganders and harm hospitals’ ability to provide care for patients in need across the state.
"Big Pharma has price gouged Americans for way, way too long, and lowering the cost of health care and prescription drugs for Michiganders is quite literally what inspired me to run and serve in Congress." -@ElissaSlotkin

Universal school meals help Michiganders succeed in and out of the classroom while keeping more money in families' pockets. The House Republican budget will deny kids access to food at school and force families to pay higher prices at the grocery store.
"It is creating a level of uncertainty that is very scary for our families and our educators who just don't know what to expect coming out of Washington, DC." @darrincamilleri warns that school lunch programs that feed 860,000 Michigan kids are in danger https://t.co/JGmC3Go7Yq
Are MAGA @RepMattHall and his extremist House Republicans working to bring down prices or invest in Michigan? No, but they do want to put guns BACK in the hands of domestic violence offenders and others who are deemed a risk to themselves and others. https://t.co/PbY3hQvn85
After all the complaints from Michigan Republicans about last year’s school budget — which *increased* school funding by hundreds of millions overall — they passed a budget today after no hearings that cut school funding by $5 BILLION.
What a disgrace. We won’t let it stand.
