Why won't Novavax be made available in the UK? My husband and I were planning to have boosters in the winter. Now we won't even have access in the spring 😭

Administrator at a local school is off sick with Covid today.
She was off sick with Covid at the start of term, 7 weeks ago.
She was off sick with Covid in July, 10 weeks before that.
And she was off sick with Covid in April, 12 weeks before that.
Everywhere I go I don't feel a part of the community because I wear a mask. I'm tired of that but will keep masking. Tired of the disjunture between us & everyone else. At most I see 2 or 3 masked in Hobart city but locally noone. So I don't go out much, never to an event. You?
Organ damage at best and death at worst awaits those of us who remain at higher risk/clinically vulnerable. As a #severelyimmunesuppressed person Covid remains a great threat to my health but Covid is a threat to many who are not immune suppressed too. We urgently need to be able to safely access healthcare, workplaces and education @Keir_Starmer@wesstreeting
To all the hospitals bringing back mask mandates in response to COVID outbreaks - thank you for doing the right thing but can we consider being proactive and not reactive?
If you keep mandates year round - the outbreaks won’t happen!
Patients deserve care - not covid.
We had to travel abroad for children's vaccines, because of NHS delays/staff confusion. ~£2k down. We couldn't wait because we were under severe pressure to return our child to school under threat of prosecution (which would have led to both adults losing our jobs).

Both working adults in my clinically vulnerable household thought we were going to lose or be forced to give up our jobs due to covid. We fought and managed to keep them but we were very lucky. Another family member (a CV teacher) lost months of pay due to school-acquired covid.

Content warning: Long Covid recovery
This week marks 4.5 years since I got Covid that led to 3 years of Long Covid, so I’m just here to update that I’m still doing well and symptom-free 18 months on.
#researchlongcovid#longcovid#longcovidrecovery 1/🧵
Economic recovery needs to include everyone, especially those who were hit hardest. By ignoring the needs of Clinically Vulnerable people, we risk leaving an entire community behind, without the support or recognition they deserve.

"We’re in a society acting as if Covid-19 doesn’t exist anymore," warns BMA chair, Prof @DrPhilBanfield.
Without #MasksInHealthcare, Clinically Vulnerable people are left questioning safety and limiting lives and avoiding essential care.
We need action to protect everyone!
Norovirus is common, highly infectious, can cause serious and unpleasant illness, closes hospital wards especially over winter and is a risk to care homes.
A norovirus vaccine, if effective, would be a major step forward. Thank you to those taking part in and running this trial
‘They are rejecting the scientific evidence and opinion of the World Health Organisation…’
Caller Anne raises her concerns about the long-lasting impact of Covid, telling @ShelaghFogarty it ‘would be funny if it wasn’t so terrifying’.
Shelagh continues to wear a mask on busy commuter trains.
We’re curious... does she wear a close-fitting FFP2 (N95) or FFP3 (N99) mask?
Many Clinically Vulnerable people are still unaware of these masks and may not realise such masks are protective, unlike 'facecoverings'.

@Keir_Starmer The worst crisis in NHS history was Covid. Let's make it fit for the future by addressing Covid? @Keir_Starmer
Airborne transmission of diseases accounts for a significant burden on the NHS and as they pose a threat to lives and health.

“Ventilate, ventilate, ventilate.
Get air filtration systems in place.
Imagine a world where we have air filtration in classrooms and workplaces.”
@DrAmirKhanGP hitting the nail squarely on the head.
👶 Babies under 1 are especially vulnerable to Covid, but vaccines during pregnancy can protect them.
Yet, only 4️⃣0️⃣% of pregnant people are getting vaccinated.
Vaccinating during pregnancy is the best way to protect vulnerable newborns. #Vax4Pregnancy💉
