LILY. This dear little dog was taken to a Surrey vet to be euthanised yesterday!!!! Tues 26 May 2026.
WHY??? Because her owners are having a baby and described her as showing aggression, going or gone blind, signs of dementia and possibly deaf... oh yes ... and not good with other dogs!!!!!!!
They have NEVER let her off lead nor is she spayed. She is 12.5 yrs old!
We collected her from the vets today and she has gone to a foster home.
She will be checked by our vet and spayed if appropriate after blood tests
Updates will follow over the coming days.

Not all the dogs are child / cat tested as they are usually coming straight from pound kennels. In some cases the dogs are also not dog tested so dog free homes or the ability and facility to separate (particularly to start with) is often essential! ✨🐾
Foster homes are an essential part of re homing, getting dogs out of pound kennels and into a home environment for a thorough assessment so that we can find them their perfect forever home! ❤️

Saved by New Hope Animal Rescue - 'We were contacted last night by one of the Authorities we help about these two little darlings who were seized after being found in poor body condition and literally covered in dog bite wounds.
They are both lovely dogs and not problematic with other dogs but it is though as they were locked in a very small space with limited access to food they fought through hunger and distress.
They are in better condition now and ready to be released so after reaching out to our rescue network we have managed to find places for them both.
It’s a sad state of affairs, people don’t realise that cases like this are happening all the time. This pair are lucky 🙏🏻 '
