@JakobKrause2@DiscussingFilm When has he been anti-Christian? I would say that ‘Nosferatu’ clearly portrayed the devil as the villain, and ‘The Northman’ is a great example of pre-Christian Europe
AFP-MI Endorses John James for Governor
Lansing, MI – Americans for Prosperity-Michigan (AFP-MI) today announced its endorsement of Congressman John James for Governor of Michigan.
AFP-MI State Director Tim Golding released the following statement:
“Michigan families deserve a governor who will fight to make life more affordable, expand opportunity, and remove barriers that make it harder to get ahead. John James has consistently championed policies that promote economic freedom, government accountability, and a stronger future for Michigan.
“Through thousands of conversations with Michiganders across the state, AFP-MI’s grassroots activists hear every day from families looking for leadership focused on results, not politics. With important choices ahead in both the primary and the general election, AFP-MI is confident John James is the leader best positioned to advance policies that help Michiganders thrive.”
🚨 BREAKING: The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that the government cannot automatically strip a marijuana user of his Second Amendment rights simply because he regularly uses a controlled substance—even without being intoxicated at the time of possession.
Justice Gorsuch wrote the opinion, rejecting the government's argument that colonial-era "habitual drunkard" laws justified the ban.
In a rare moment, the ACLU and the NRA were on the same side. The ruling is narrow—it doesn't address banning addicts currently intoxicated, or felons.
But the court made clear: regular drug use alone is not enough.

Next year we have another round of big elections here in Mississippi, and announcements are being made already as campaigns are kicking off. Over the last couple months, I’ve been told by people that I trust that my name has been mentioned for several statewide and district wide offices. While it is certainly an honor to be considered, I want everyone to know that I will be running for reelection to the State Senate next year. We have had a lot of success in Mississippi and in District 51 these past several years, and I plan to continue to build on that success.
I sincerely hope - and I humbly ask, that you will support me for reelection next year. I know this announcement seems early, but I did not want my name to get into the mix of other offices without letting my constituents know my intentions. I will continue to work hard for you and for our community, and I thank you all for this opportunity.
State Rep. Jansen Owen will not be seeking re-election to his House District 106 seat next year, choosing instead to run for District Attorney for the 15th Circuit Court District which includes Marion, Pearl River, Lamar, and Walthall counties.
