We under-estimate how toxic relationships cause disease in the body.
Boundaries matter.
No relationship is worth a consistent sacrifice of your emotional and mental wellbeing.
Removing yourself is an act of self respect.
Sensitivity is a gift. To still be able to feel is something to be celebrated. Being sentimental is a gift. To be moved over things most people don’t even notice, is a rare trait.
Trauma makes you see someone's lack of effort as an invitation to try harder and prove your worth. Healing makes you see their lack of effort as their lack of interest in you and reminds you to stop forcing that connection.
it costs nothing to be kind to your friends, invite them places, check on them, etc. It hurts me to see people I love receiving the bare minimum from people who claim to be their “friend” or even “best friend”
