Surviving Windows involves a daily number of explorer.exe restarts. I've got a "Restart Explorer.bat" Batch script on all Windows 10 desktops containing:
taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
start explorer.exe
@BrianIKamanzi There are also "debloat Windows 11" scripts/apps online that disable some unneeded Windows services/telemetry. I would use these with caution or at least find one that has been vetted by a reputable person/org.
@BrianIKamanzi Otherwise upgrading your RAM (if possible) and upgrading to a SSD if you have a HDD are recommended. Can also take a look at the top processes in Task Manager for the culprit processes. Uninstall an software you don't use etc.
The SA Home Affairs login page takes ~9.7s to load. Actually logging in takes ~3.5min๐คฏ. I don't know if I'm ever going to receive the OTP to complete my login.
There must be someone manually fetching data from the database over there.
@CassidyJames Great, thanks. It appears that on Windows (at least) at fractional scaling, anything that is rasterized already will appear blurry (viewing images) but a fair number of apps appear crisp - I imagine as they are scaling in their rasterization phase based on the desktop scaling.
@babusinyoni ๐ Will have to check it out. I've been using the features of LibreOffice to do something along these lines for about 8 years now: https://t.co/iDPhUctXg4
I'm always a bit sceptical of no-code but if it empowers users then awesome.
