Honestly think I'd cry if @monzo doubled my PIP tomorrow. I've got everything crossed. Needing a new wheelchair that's not available from NHS so badly!
@whoareyou_64@MikScarlet This has happened to me too! Ended up chasing on the phone to the 4 hospitals I am seen at, to find I didn't have an urgent appointment at any of them.
@80s_Kidz An elderly neighbour was bedbound and I used to go as a child and read to her. There was always a glass dish of these sweets on the bureau, and I was allowed to take one before I left. Happy memories!
@puddleuddle@SW_Help As a wheelchair user, nothing annoys me more than the, 'have you booked, was it booked' question. Just because we need a simple ramp to board a train. Why can we not go out without advance warning, like able bodied folks do? What if there's an issue and we need to get somewhere?
@melvphil@Dis_PPL_Protest Plus a myriad of stuff you haven't had room to mention. This Govt. seem to be really coming for disabled people. Don't they realise, disability is not a choice? I was born with mine.
@MikScarlet I find it astounding in this day and age that new rolling stock is not made so that wheelchair users can board the train without needing those horrible ramps!
@GrandHotelBrum Had lovely stay with you last w/e. Accessible room perfect. However, is platform lift fixed now? Didn't enjoy having to use goods lift for access. Felt very awkward, like we couldn't come and go as we wanted.
@MikScarlet Name and shame so that I can avoid it! Stayed last w/e at v. posh hotel in B'ham, their platform lift broken too. Had to enter 5 star hotel via goods lift. Not enjoyable!
