Ann Widdecombe is gone, and Britain is smaller for it this morning.

She was the real thing. She said what she meant and never once checked the wind before she opened her mouth. They laughed at her, marked her down, sneered at her faith and her flag. She outlasted the lot of them.

“If you want to get our country back again, then there is no earthly point in voting for more of the same.”

Clear as a bell to the very last. She went into politics to serve, not to be served, and working people trusted her because she never talked down to them. She was one of us.

May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

I don’t often send out posts like this but is anyone senior at @DandG_Support able to help me? Your customer service team have promised for months that a manager will call me back. I have escalated complaints. Your escalation team promised 3 days ago again that someone senior would call back within 48 hours. I currently have no boiler. I have no hot water. I have kids. I’ve been a customer for a long time. This level of service is totally unacceptable. I can only assume you do not value customers at all? I’m happy to post messages here with interaction from your team. Of broken promises. Of lies. I’d prefer to do this in private but your team are incredibly unhelpful. Please let me know your response. I’d encourage others to share this as a warning to the level of service your company actually provides when people need help.

Important update from Police Scotland Edinburgh.

We are continuing to appeal for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a 52-year-old man reported missing from St Leonards in Edinburgh.
Roderick Nisbet was last seen in the Wilmslow area of Cheshire, England around 8.15am on Friday, 21 November 2025. It is known that since being in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 19 November, he has also travelled to North Yorkshire.
Roderick is descried as 6ft 4in tall, of medium build with a bald head. When last seen he was wearing a navy-blue puffer jacket.
Sergeant Paul Anderson said: "It is unusual for Roderick to not tell family and friends where he is and concerns are growing for his welfare.
"Anyone who may have seen Roderick in since Wednesday, 19 November, or who has any new information on where he may be, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1538 of 19 November 2025.

We need your help locating Roderick Nisbet, 52, missing from the St Leonard’s area of Edinburgh with growing concerns for his welfare.

He was last seen around 9am on Wednesday 19 November 2025. It is believed he may have travelled to or have connections in the Berwick-upon-Tweed, Manchester, or Cheshire areas.

Roderick is 6ft 4in, of medium build, with a bald head, and was last seen wearing a navy blue puffer jacket.

Anyone who has seen Roderick or has any information that could help locate him is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1538 of 19 November 2025.
