There’s a debate to be had about whether there is enough support for the poorest pensioners in the UK, but the blanket statement that the pension is the lowest without context is disingenuous

@billmul65 @tomhfh We have NHS and tax cuts on private pension saving at time of earnings. Other comparable countries collect tax on full wages then remit as higher pensions, and make citizens pay health insurance

@ClarkeMicah Are people misunderstanding this on purpose? Everyone knows you don’t change the length of the sunlit day, but given we have x number of hours of daylight a day, the question is when is it best to distribute those hours? A lot of people argue it’s better to be light after work

@TearShapedHeart Also, generally (depending on dialect), it isn’t pronounced the same way. When talking about an adult male, man is said with a long A and a hard N at the end, but when used as filler, the A is shortened and the N softened
