@matthew_sussex Condolences to friends and family. He was a top bloke, and deep thinker on both Russia and China ... on history and structures, rather than leaders and cliques etc
@ProfSteveKeen@TRuzive08@wbmosler@dandolfa As I understand it, this paper would support your point. Exporters of tradeables gain from scale and productivity - compared to importers of non-tradeables https://t.co/E0Vf3Ixw0k
@Brad_Setser Brad can I check exactly where these stats are reported - presumably NBS online database quarterly or monthly. I can see growth but not trn values
In teaching & talks I couldn’t find short, concise material on China’s economy, so had a go. It ended up in 2 parts for @AIIANational, thanks

@B_Herscovitch Hi Ben, I think it's relevant to note that lobsters are tricky b/c the barriers are on the permits of CN importers. Unlike other barriers targeted at AU exporters where the AU govt can make official representations on their behalf

@edwardsychan@minglu_chen @Bingqin_Li @ConversationEDU I coordinate the UQ course ECON3820 "Understanding China". The criticisms in this article don't reflect the approach or content of my course, but would be happy to discuss. Would be good to have a broader discussion on AU lecturers on CN.
