This mountain stream cooled the air along the lunch stop on our horseback journey from Sundance Lodge to Halfway Lodge. A picture of the river-stone is layered under the picture of the river scene to add a painterly impression.

@shandro Time is money, or overhead. The cost of rent and staff in Alberta is higher than most provinces. Fee For Service keeps physicians working as quickly as possible. Salarying family doctors would reduce access and cost more. Already been piloted - too expensive
@shandro Primary care saves much more money than it costs. Albertaโs fee codes enable Family Physicians to provide quality care. Decreasing these fees only rewards less beneficial practices such as episodic walk-in clinics, much like the current problems in BC.
Complex modifiers are what allow family doctors to be able to give the time patients require to help them remain out of Emergency Departments. It saves money. You need to think through the consequences!
The first day of summer is approaching and that means it is time to prepare for two upcoming trips through the Canadian Arctic with Adventure Canada as staff photographer and expedition team member. Soon it will be testing and packing photo gear, but firsโฆhttps://t.co/ryxFtoVAsL
Samford Fjord Kangiqtualuk Uqquqti Baffin Island Nunavut. The morning sun broke through snow filled clouds to reveal the steep cliffs of this majestic fjord along the northeastern coast of Baffin Island. This is our Canada! #nunavut
This replica Viking ship, with its broad beam and high weight capacity enabled vikings to sail across the ocean from Europe to Iceland, Greenland, and then Canada, on their exploration to more southern destinations 1000 years ago. #Vikings#ship
Although captured a few years ago now this moment along Lake O'Hara is still strongly etched in my mind's eye. This year it was on the cover of one of Canadian Geographic's Calendars and two new prints will be auctioned to support the Calgary Youth Orchestra.
Just signed and sent for framing my first three prints of this picture from Sondre Stromfjord Greenland ๐ฌ๐ฑ. They will be donated for auction to raise support for the Calgary Youth Orchestra and Bishop Carroll Virtuosi ensemble. #Auroraborealis#Greenland
Chicago Phone Camera Series - Faces in Millennium Park. The civic centre of Millennium park was the vision of architect Ed Uhlir, an employee of the city of Chicago and local architect - take note Calgary, we don't always have to look abroad for creative minds. #millennium park
Continuing with my phone camera series from Chicago this cloudy day provided even lighting during a December river architectural cruise. Chicago, I'm told, is the birthplace of high rise architecture. In 1871 one third of this city burned, giving rise to the term Second City.
Photography helps interesting light shine. Here sunlight breaks through an autumn storm along the eastern coastline of #Baffin#Island. No matter what the weather conditions are these #fjords along Baffin Bay are exceptionally beautiful in their ruggedness.@ParksCanada
This island contains the largest island within an island within an island. It is Canada's second largest island and the world's eighth largest island, which makes it also just slightly larger than the island of Great Britain. It is Victoria Island, in the Arctic archipelago.
Tonight on our last evening in Chicago I set out with my iPhone camera to walk the streets of downtown Chicago at midnight. I crisscrossed the multiple draw bridges enjoying the views and looking for reflections in the river. #Chicago#riverwalk#skyline
Aurora Borealis over Baffin Bay. There isn't anything quite like northern lights to elevate our spirits. I never know when the next opportunity will arise to make a tweet so I hope that you all have a wonderful time with family and friends over the holidays!
Like the story of creation, this fingertip of ice touches the source from which it came. H20 is an incredible molecule. Only water is less dense in its solid form than its liquid origin, enabling ice to float. #arctic#sea#ice@AdventureCanada
Generations. Everything is shifting so quickly the further north you go in Canada. Transitions in culture between the youth and the elderly are as extreme as the effects of climate change in this landscape that fosters interdependence for survival. Kangiqsualujjuaq, Nunavik.
