Yeah, leaks are annoying, but they're only a problem for like a year. Filming a movie this way makes it look like shit forever. Prioritise preservation.

I think the reason there's so much revisionism around older movies is because we're so starved of good filmmaking in blockbusters these days. Even a lot of bad movies still had good concepts/execution that are rare by today's standards.
