Democrats in Congress: WHAT IS THE PLAN?
Going on Sunday shows and spewing consultant speak isn't going to cut it.
Twelve inspectors general fired and there's no sit-in? No filibuster? No direction to voters? And in fact, some of you are actually voting for Trump's agenda?
Trump is holding all the nation’s hospitals and vital services hostage to seize power from Congress and hand it over to billionaires.
We must state the truth: this is a constitutional crisis. It’s a massive, illegal power grab that the House and Senate have a sworn duty to stop.
ACOSTA: Do you agree with Trump's decision to pardon violent people?
REP. BURCHETT: If they were truly violent, no. But I don't know that?
ACOSTA: What do you mean you don't know? We're showing the footage right now.
Reminder that Amazon, Meta, Apple, and Google are each facing federal antitrust lawsuits.
They each gave cash hand over fist to Trump’s inaugural fund, which raked in a record $250 million.
When I say money in politics corrupts our system, this is what I’m talking about.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth on the Senate floor: "I will not be voting to confirm the supremely unqualified Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense.
"Our troops deserve better than a guy who was seemingly only nominated because he used to host Trump's favorite show on Fox News."
Mark Zuckerberg scrapped fact-checking from Meta platforms. He's also added Trump ally Dana White to Meta's board and is helping fund his inauguration.
Why is Zuckerberg kissing Trump's ring?
Perhaps it's because of the FTC's antitrust lawsuit against Meta.
Follow the money.
Under Chair Lina Khan, the FTC just voted to ban junk fees in hotels and live-event ticketing.
This is exactly what government working for the people looks like.
The lone no vote against this rule? Trump's pick for FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson.
The contrast couldn't be clearer.
Now Trump says he's suing the Des Moines Register because their poll understated his support; 60 Minutes because of their editing of @KamalaHarris interview; the Pulitzer committee for honoring the @nytimes coverage of Russian election interference.
Welcome to Hungary, folks!
The Constitution is not optional.
That's why we went to court to enforce the Emoluments Clauses during Trump's first term, and Section 3 of the 14th Amendment when Trump ran for president after inciting insurrection.
So a reminder:
It’s not ‘liberals’ saying Hegseth abuses women. It’s his mom.
It’s not ‘liberals’ comparing Trump to Hitler. It’s his vice-president.
It’s not ‘liberals’ calling Musk a liar and a racist. It’s his own child.
For the record.
With Project 2025 architect Russell Vought helming the Trump White House’s budget office, Medicare and Social Security could take massive damage—despite Trump’s campaign pledge not to harm either program.
Your reminder that Project 2025 was always the MAGA Agenda.
Trump is now the first incoming president not to sign the federal transition funding agreement.
That means he can raise unlimited amounts from wealthy donors for his presidential transition — and keep their identities secret.
So much for draining the swamp.
What's behind Trump’s gonzo cabinet noms?
Flood the zone? Yes, but it's deeper than that.
Trump wants to deflect our attention while he and his fellow billionaires loot America.
He's on his way to creating a government of billionaires, by billionaires, for billionaires.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wants to order stopping the development of new drugs for cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and other illnesses for eight years on his first day as HHS secretary. Thank you, Trump voters.
Blue state attorneys general are planning to fight Trump:
In Washington state, Attorney General Bob Ferguson's team has studied Trump's campaign promises and Project 2025 to prepare lawsuits to block federal actions.
In Arizona, Attorney General Kris Mayes said she "can't imagine a single Democratic attorney general in this country that won't be involved in fighting unconstitutional behavior." https://t.co/FT3XQFNUgs
Just to be clear: the incoming Trump administration is going to war against their own GOP senate majority and the constitution's advice & consent provision so they can make a man investigated for *sex trafficking a minor* into the most powerful law enforcement officer in the country.
NEW: We just asked the DOJ to expedite our request for records about Matt Gaetz's criminal investigation. Given his nomination as attorney general, the public deserves to know what the sex-trafficking investigation turned up and why Gaetz was not charged. https://t.co/3GuVJbXgbj
