@VeteransUK Course problem is, time. A big percentage of those on universal credit are already in full time employment. The other alternative would be make corporations pay proper wages to get them off it, then maybe target the unemployed, if your lust for punishment wasn't satiated.

Two devoted Scotland fans, David Smith and Fraser MacIntyre, went viral after completing a 22-hour transatlantic journey in a small propeller aircraft to attend the FIFA World Cup 2026. The pair—chairman and vice-chairman of Ayr United—departed Prestwick, Ayrshire, aboard a single-engine Cirrus SR22T nicknamed “Ayr Force One,” undertaking the 4,200-mile trip to support Scotland’s first World Cup appearance since 1998.

Due to the aircraft’s limited fuel range, they were forced to make several stops along the way, carrying survival gear including life jackets and immersion suits. Their route took them from Iceland to an overnight stay in Kulusuk, Greenland, then on to Goose Bay, Canada, before entering U.S. airspace.

The journey concluded safely in Boston, Massachusetts, where they arrived in time for Scotland’s opening group-stage matches.
