Was just thinking about this- As a player (age 8-20) I don’t recall every hitting underhand flips in practice.

Tee work, hitting tires, swing away, overhand BP, iron Mike & 2 wheel pitching machines, but can’t recall ever hitting flips.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Most HS players only want to play for a Power 5 school.

While there's nothing wrong with this if you're good enough, there are drawbacks, especially if your goal is to get drafted.

Maybe no All Stars til then either.
(As a mom who LOVES going to games, that's hard for me to say. But it's not the healthiest model if the goal is kids enjoyment and retention. So many kids left behind because they're not good enough fast enough.)

Think:
- a league available in every city
- parents volunteer as coaches
- affordable to all
- guaranteed playing time
- focus on fun and health
- orange slices after games
