@NathanBLawrence It’s why I think it’s a very effective interview question, despite direct function recursion being so rare in production code. It helps me evaluate the types of thought someone is capable of.

@NathanBLawrence I think it’s often due to an inability to think about a code from multiple perspectives simultaneously. It requires a significant level of abstract thinking and holding multiple frames of reference in your head at once in a way you can evaluate against them simultaneously.
