Another legendary studio from my childhood bites the dust due because they thought appealing to the "Modern Audience" was more important than actual gamers and Dragon Age fans.
SquareEnix hired sensitivity consultants to tone down and censor their own game and changed the pacing to appeal to the lowest common denominator of gamers in order to maximize profits and you're out here saying this is the version the "authors" wanted.
They don't care about the story, they don't care about you, they don't care about anything but money.

An Ultima VII Remake would be a huge win and @ViridianGames has done most the work already. If you teamed up that project could easily launch next year.
@chancletamangu@Sebbywebz Tim rogers made that voice by choice and purposely went overboard with it. This does not reflect how Naniki's voice would sound, just his speech pattern.
Anybody who can read/speak Japanese could easily read this line and make it sound natural and not cringe.
Yeah man, I am really glad they decided to throw away the lore and make some guy making tacos on the highwind with a bad credit score to represent me in the game.
Who needs immersion when some retards want to make themselves feel better by shoehorning "diversity" into everything?
Stunning and brave Schrodinger.
Glad the game failed, and so are these ideologies that helped ruin it.
I think his translation is fine. If there were actual voice acting, though, I might have changed the cursing and shown more facial expressions and a stern tone, but that is not what the original translator had.
Cid is so rude when you meet him that the translator added in random curse words to compensate.
