@1965Kaufman @Handell_CVE The O.P. made it a point to say the trailer plates were removed, which is wrong. No one is saying the driver is not at fault! He clearly is. There is definitely a need for inspections and enforcement.

@1965Kaufman @Handell_CVE I got that part completely! I am a multi cerificate holder car, truck bus and trailer mechanic with 43 years of experience. The tractor controls the trailer brakes, not the other way around. As shown in the picture, the defect is clearly in the tractor, not the trailer.

@Nolan69299850 @Handell_CVE If this tractor dropped its trailer, could it not be legally driven away to have the offending air line replaced? That airline pictured is the trailer service brake signal line and has no bearing on the operation of the tractor brakes, without the trailer.
