// SCRAPPY PUNK® // Formerly a brewery; now permanently closed (Check out Hammered Dwarf Cider, who will be taking over our location). // Former Trident II guy.
@KingNeptune767 Likely an equivalent function to the explosively deployed "aerospike" on the Trident II. Fun trivia: The fairing on the Trident II is partly made of spruce.
@SecDef19@RussTaylorPhD@CoreyAH Sir, the sub crews aren't launching unless they're personally sure. Respectfully, sir, to suggest anything else feels like a personal insult. We're just a bunch of normal dudes hanging out, wanting to do the right thing. As for the Chair Force 😏, well, that's a better question.
@TomCollina@RepRoKhanna Tom, we talked about this on Reddit already. The sub crews aren't going to just launch because Trump says so. Also, there are only 1 or 2 boats "Alert" in each ocean, which is not even close to replacing the deterrent value of ICBMs. "ICBMs = Army"; "SLBMs = "Marines".
@Alex83274099 I actually served in the US Navy. And, while serving, I was in a situation where I could have died. Even further, my daughter could have died from COVID-19 in February. My wife, daughter and I know it's about being brave, and taking risks. Life isn't safe. It will never be.
@FoxOutOfTheBox @skybeacon Your point is not invalid. However, that excellent point begins to scale less and less efficiently as the "shutdown" begins to consume significant fractions of the lives of young children. In my daughter's case, that fraction is 20%.
@skybeacon Incorrect, sir. Negative Utilitarianism is an illogical philosophy. In context, that means when you focus on {death}, more than {child_mental_health, reducing[domestic_violence, suicide, inequality, ...], economy, ...}, you're actually missing the point of being alive.
Happy Thanksgiving. I wish I had been cool enough to come up with the nickname "Shock G", but please enjoy this throwback. Also, thanks to all of our friends close enough to be family, and family close enough to be friends. ❤️🍗🇺🇲🎶
