THREAD: Attack on Titan characters as Yellowjackets characters because I'm bored but I also think there's some cool similarities if you've watched both shows:
Swifties do make Olivia sound cool as hell though. “Olivia Rodrigo is evil beyond compare. She’ll destroy anyone and anything in her unquenchable desire for power.” They make her sound like the big bad in a movie and then you look and it’s just an awkward 23 year old.
random thought. it’s so refreshing seeing rock fans support olivia and actually take her seriously as an artist. she’s really smart. instead of only relying on the crowded pop audience, she’s also winning over people from other genres. she’s building a really diverse audience with different music tastes. that kind of support can help her career grow even bigger in the long run🤍
Crunchyroll has done a lot of things I’ve disliked over the years, but buying up RightStuf only to gut it and turn it into the online equivalent of an anime store you’d find in a local mall has got to be up there
there’s this weird phenomenon where like people think that just because a character is queer they gotta be like an amazing upstanding person to be “good representation” when this isn’t even the case in real life lol
A lot of men and women are insisting children should never go into men’s bathrooms. And they have a point. If people think children shouldn’t go in men’s bathrooms, then we as a society agree men are gross, untrustworthy, and violent. Perhaps we should do something about that.
explained to gf that the reason we file tax returns in the U.S. is because an amount is automatically deducted from our paychecks and the return determines whether the correct amount of tax was actually deducted and she was genuinely shocked
might delete idk but
it's the "everyone wants to save the world but no one wants to help mom do the dishes" thing to me. they want to be hero of the day saving women in dark streets but never tackle the everyday things/ppl (incl themselves) contributing to rape culture
hard to explain if one didn't grow up around/going here, but little tokyo has become better in some ways, worse in others. most of all i wish it had a proper japanese arcade, but LA rents (and businesses' aversion to opening late) ensure that will never happen
the last frame of backrooms gets darker once you realize Mary's still life is remembered in the same pose she was in whilst trying to untie herself from the chair
