Your code is not your career.
What actually moves the needle:
1. Writing clearly
2. Explaining tradeoffs
3. Knowing when to push back
4. Building trust across teams
The IDE is the easy part.
"Coding is dead" is the most misleading lie on your feed right now.
AI hasn't killed coding. itโs elevated it.
Writing a prompt is easy
but ...
Turning AI output into a scalable, production-ready product is a skill that belongs to people who actually understand software.
The future doesn't belong to prompt-only users. It belongs to builders who combine deep code knowledge with AI speed.
Stop listening to the noise. Learn to code. Learn to use AI. Do both. ๐ ๏ธ

I can tell you for a fact that there are multi-billion-dollar reasons why companies like Spotify do it. ๐งต
1. ๐๐ก๐ "๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐/๐๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ฑ"๐๐ฑ:
Apple and Google take a 30% cut of every transaction made via In-App Purchases (IAP).
If Spotify charges you $10, Apple takes $3. Spotify only keeps $7.
By sending you to their website, they use their own payment gateway. They still pay a processing fee (usually 3%), but thatโs only 30 cents, not $3. They keep 97% of the money instead of 70%.
2. ๐๐ข๐ซ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐ค :
If you pay through the App Store, for example, Apple owns your transaction data.
Spotify has now become a stranger to your billing, which means that if you have a payment issue, Spotifyโs support canโt even help you. You have to talk to Apple.
Companies hate having a middleman.......
They want to deal with you directly, like buying tomatoes from the farmer instead of the open market.
You get?
3. ๐๐๐ญ๐-๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ :
Clive Humby (whom I call ๐ท๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐) said,
"Data is the new oil."
On an iPhone, you can cancel a subscription with one tap and meuve (move).
O ti lo niyen ( you're gone) but Spotify needs your data...
They want to know why. By forcing you to their site, they can ask questions like: "Is it too expensive?"
They can even offer a "Basic" plan or a free month to make you stay (Oya take, no vex nah).
๐๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ง๐:
These apps are tired of being "tenants".
They want total control over their business, their data, and their margins. ๐ธ

Good morning everyone,
Iโm kicking off a 90-day learning sprint where weโll be building real projects, collaborating, and growing together as engineers.
You wonโt be restricted to a single tech stack. Youโll be grouped with others based on your preferred programming language so you can build with what youโre comfortable with.
Once groups are formed, each person should create a GitHub repository that will be used throughout the 90 days.
The goal is to work in teams of 10. This isnโt just about coding, itโs about learning how to actually work in a team. Each group will have clear monthly targets, and youโll collaborate, build, and consistently push your progress to your repository.
For the first month, weโll focus on building a solid authentication system. The aim is to implement a proper, real-world authentication flow. Iโll share a reference weโll follow, and add more where necessary.
If you havenโt joined the WhatsApp group yet, check the comment section and ask any of my mutuals for the link.
Letโs get to work.
@dotprodev I agree with you . Over engineering is a fast track to burnout. Staying lean with solid monitoring is the only way to build in public and stay sane.
@a16z Having spent years drafting lesson plans manually, seeing AI agents handle curriculum for 4 kids under 5 is mind blowing.
This is the exact kind of real world implementation that makes the agentic future feel tangible
@nvidia Itโs one thing to have a model write code, but seeing the hardware software integration handle real world physics in real time is where the real engineering magic happens.
Anyone else here curious about the tech stack running the real-time sensor fusion on these bots?
