Unfortunately being a writer means dealing with rejection.
Yesterday we sent out the results from our latest Open Call opportunity. Whilst the vast majority of responses (although often disappointed) were positive, there were a minority of abusive and unpleasant replies.
We asked Paul Hunt @saulhuntman an alumnus of our Scripted Writer Development programme to sum up his experience of dealing with multiple rejections before gaining a place in the group. Read his blog post now, including some great advice >>> https://t.co/NGBmyo4sSk
"You might as well now, at the start, write whatever you want..." - screenwriter Charlie Brooker explains why you can take the chance, early in your writing career, to write what you want!
This week's midweek inspiration from our archive is from Charlie Brooker (Black Mirror, Dead Set, Cunk On Earth). Be sure to head over to the Be Inspired section of our website where many screenwriters discuss their writing process and give tips for emerging writers ✍️
