@jlinehan9@Firstand16_Pod It’s a bit of a house of cards. The ability to up-charge everything to moneyed bandwagon riders depends upon on-field success. Two bad years in a row and there will be empty seats, because the true fans will have been priced out.
BREAKING: Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey have agreed on rapid military deployment at an emergency meeting of the Mecca Alliance's defense committee in Riyadh, per Pakistan's Foreign Ministry.
The three countries initially signed the pact on August 7. An attack on one is treated as an attack on all three, similar to NATO's Article 5.
The meeting comes amid continued Houthi attacks threatening Saudi territory and Red Sea infrastructure.
Pakistan is also set to expand its military presence in Saudi Arabia with 25,000 troops.
@mmcelroy99@BenSasse You got a write-in vote from me in 2024 as well, which I thought was a compliment, since I voted for Sweet Meteor of Death in 2020.
54% of Republican voters and 62% of independents approve of government setting price caps on certain products to limit how expensive they get.

@RepDonBacon Understood, and agreed. Many of the problems are indeed structural. There is no political will generally to tackle the deficit/debt problem. Our children and grandchildren will be the ones who pay the price (probably through persistently high inflation).
