@BenGeskin It will happen. In our lifetime still.

This is a blatant example of how a company ships a product that everybody loves, gets sidetracked by bad management/investors, then invests on a new product that nobody wants and sunsets the thing everybody wanted all along.

[Arc @arcinternet]

We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.

That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.

Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.

We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:

· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.

Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

@alexvinidiktov @adilrc @johnternus It’s a joke.
Nothing wrong with that.

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@MTSlive More bureaucracy.

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@Rasmic Love it. Thank you!
Deserves a better domain. :)

@googlemaps Read my post again. I explicitly mention the *website* not the app.

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

. @googlemaps was released in 2005.

It's almost 2027 and the website still doesn't have a dark mode available.

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@alexmichaelio @claudeai @bot @Meta @OpenAI i think it will be between @bot and @claudeai (MAU vs MRR)

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

Tmux had a good run.
Thank you, @superlogical team and @mitchellh!

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@awesomekling Hey Andreas, how are things coming along for the alpha release? Should we expect something in November?

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

Remember Twitter Bootstrap, the Foundation Framework and Eric Meyer's CSS reset?

I do. lol

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@alexhvnsen What's wrong with the website though?

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@_nonfigurativ_ Most of the internet

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@ryanvogel @mitchellh @adilrc @johnternus Yeah, but then you’d basically create a market where people would just pay an extra $1000 to get early access and not actually ship anything.

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@yagiznizipli Last engineering post was from 2023 😢

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@typecraft_dev @tcballard @omarchy I have a feeling this will be merged upstream into Omarchy in a near future. haha

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@Subscriptions It's been weeks since I signed up for my subscription and still haven't been reviewed for my checkmark. What's up with that?

[Caio Bianchi @scrollingentity]

@adilrc @johnternus haha... I know. I'm just being cheeky.

@ventzpetkov @not_sacke Mole does AppCleaner’s uninstall job plus deep cache cleanup, disk maps, live monitoring, and dev artifact purging. AppCleaner only handles leftovers.
