Thiru TR Baalu filed a defamation case against me for publishing the assets/companies owned by him and his family through DMK Files & he had sought ₹100 Crores in damages.

As you all know, after a certain time period in the trial, I argued my own case and personally cross-examined him, and the details of which are in the public domain.

Also, during one of the cross-examinations, Thiru TR Baalu made defamatory remarks against me without substance in the court, and I had filed a case against him in the same court for making those allegations within the court premise.

Today, Thiru TR Baalu, out of his own wishes, decided to withdraw the defamation case filed against me by him. He filed the defamation case against me; to carry it further or not was his decision & not mine.

I wish to inform all concerned that I continue to stand by every single remark that I had made against the previous DMK govt and certain members of the DMK party till now.

I wish to thank Adv. Paul Kanagaraj, Adv. Kumaraguru and all members of the BJP legal team for their support during the trial of this case.

Truth always triumphs!

தமிழகத்தில், திமுக மாவட்டச் செயலாளர்கள் தொடங்கி, சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள், அமைச்சர்கள், நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் என இறுதியில் கோபாலபுரம் குடும்பம் வரை, தனியார் பள்ளிகள் நடத்தி வருவது அனைவரும் அறிந்த உண்மை.

இந்த நிலையில், திமுகவின் தலைமைக் கழக செய்தித் தொடர்பு துணைத்தலைவராக இருக்கும் திரு. B.T.அரசகுமார் அவர்கள், தமிழகம் முழுவதும் இருக்கும் அனைத்துத் தனியார் பள்ளிகளுக்கும், தனது தலைமையில் ஒரு புதிய சங்கம் தொடங்குகிறார். அதன் தொடக்கவிழாவில், பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சரும் பங்கேற்கிறார்.

விழா பற்றிய செய்திக் குறிப்பு, தமிழக ஊடகங்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அந்தச் செய்திக் குறிப்பின் அடிப்படையில், தினமணி உள்ளிட்ட முன்னணி ஊடகங்கள், “தமிழகத்தில் 500 அரசுப் பள்ளிகளைத் தத்தெடுக்கும் தனியார் பள்ளிகள்: அமைச்சர் அன்பில் மகேஸ் பாராட்டு” என்ற தலைப்பில், கடந்த 31.12.2024 அன்று செய்தி வெளியிடுகின்றன.

அமைச்சர்கள் பங்கேற்கும் இது போன்ற தனியார் நிகழ்ச்சிகளில், ஊடகங்கள், தாங்கள் பெற்ற செய்திக் குறிப்பை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு செய்திகள் வெளியிடுவது வழக்கமான ஒன்று. எங்களுடைய கேள்விகள் என்னவென்றால்,

தமிழக பட்ஜெட்டில், கல்வித்துறைக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட ரூ. 44,042 கோடி எங்குச் சென்றது?

சிதிலமடைந்த 10,000 பள்ளிகளுக்குப் புதிய கட்டிடங்கள் கட்டப்படும் என்ற திமுகவின் வாக்குறுதி என்ன ஆனது?

அடிப்படைத் தேவைகள் எதையுமே நிறைவேற்றாமல், எதற்காக திமுக அரசு ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும், புதிதாக ஒரு லட்சம் கோடி ரூபாயைக் கடன் வாங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது?

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), under the direction of the TVK Govt, had filed an FIR & conducted a raid yesterday at the residence and other premises associated with former DMK Minister Thiru E.V. Velu avl in connection with alleged irregularities in the execution of road contracts awarded in 2022.

I welcome the TVK Govt's efforts to investigate allegations of corruption from the previous DMK regime. I sincerely hope that the TVK Govt ensures a swift conclusion to these cases, and that anyone found guilty is held accountable in accordance with the law.

While we are on this subject, I urge the TVK Govt to look into the following scams that were exposed over the past 5 years, order an enquiry, and take action accordingly. Naming a few to begin with.

1.BGR Energy Scam – Flouting rules, re-awarding a contract, and later cancelling it after being exposed.
2.Nutrition Kit Scam – Procurement of Health Mix from private vendors at an inflated price despite Aavin coming forward to manufacture it.
3.Pongal Dhoti Scam – Use of excess polyester instead of cotton, and proofs of which were submitted to DVAC.
4.Multiple scams in the State Transport Department – Procurement of Reflective & Rear Marking Plates and much more.
5.TNMSC Scam – Procurement of Pesticides
6.MGNREGA Scam

We also hope the TVK Govt finds the time to solve a long-pending mystery. For years, we have been asking about the rather curious coincidence of Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin avl's fan club and Noble Steels operating from the very same address, and about Noble Steels' announcement of a ₹1,000 crore investment in Tamil Nadu soon after former Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin's visit to Dubai (that investment remains an announcement, is a topic for another day).

தமிழக அரசின் நிதிநிலை குறித்து, தவெக அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ள வெள்ளை அறிக்கையை (White Paper) படித்துப் பார்த்தேன்.

இந்த வெள்ளை அறிக்கையில், பெரிதாக ஆச்சரியப்படும் அளவுக்குப் புதிய தகவல்கள் எதுவும் இல்லை. கடந்த ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளில் மாநில நிதி நிர்வாகத்தில் ஏற்பட்ட சீர்கேடுகளை வெளிச்சம் போட்டு காட்டும் ஒரு ஆவணமாகவே இது உள்ளது. மேலும், தமிழகத்தின் முக்கிய நிதிக் குறியீடுகளை, பிற தொழில்மயமான மாநிலங்களுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு, தமிழகத்தின் தற்போதைய நிலையைத் தெளிவாகக் கூறியிருக்கிறது.

• தமிழகத்தின் மொத்தக் கடன் நிலுவை ₹10 லட்சம் கோடியை எட்டியுள்ளது; சராசரியாக தமிழக மக்கள் ஒவ்வொருவர் பெயரிலும் ₹1,28,934 கடன் சுமை உள்ளது.

• தமிழகத்தின் மொத்த வருவாயில், 22.8%, வாங்கிய கடனுக்கு வட்டி செலுத்துவதற்கே செலவிடப்படுகிறது.

• தமிழகத்தின் சொந்த வரி வருவாய் (SoTR) மற்றும் GSDP விகிதம், 2021-22ல் 5.93% இருந்தது; 2025-26ல் அது 5.45% ஆக குறைந்துள்ளது.

• மின்சாரம், போக்குவரத்து மற்றும் நுகர்பொருள் விநியோகம் தொடர்பான முக்கிய பொதுத்துறை நிறுவனங்களின் மொத்தக் கடன் ₹3.18 லட்சம் கோடியாக உள்ளது.

• நிலங்களின் மதிப்பை குறைத்து பதிவு செய்வது போன்ற முறைகேடுகளால், பத்திரப் பதிவுத்துறை வருவாய் இழப்பு மற்றும் அமைப்பு சார்ந்த ஊழலால் ஏற்பட்ட பெரும் வருவாய் இழப்புகள் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன.

தமிழகத்தில் வேலை செய்யும் வயதுடைய மக்கள் தொகை, வரும் 2031 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து குறையத் தொடங்கும் சூழலில், மாநிலத்தின் வருவாய் அடித்தளத்தை வலுப்படுத்தவும், நிதிநிலையை சீர்செய்யவும் மிகவும் குறுகிய காலமே உள்ளது. இது மிகவும் கவலைக்கிடமான விஷயமாகும்.

எனவே, தவெக அரசு இந்த வெள்ளை அறிக்கையைக் காரணம் காட்டி, செயல்படாமல் இருக்கக் கூடாது. இந்த பாதிப்புகளைச் சரிசெய்யத் தேவையான, உடனடி நடவடிக்கைகளை முன்னெடுக்க வேண்டும்.

இது தொடர்பாக, பொருளாதார நிபுணர்கள் மற்றும் கல்வியாளர்கள் மட்டுமின்றி, தொழில், வர்த்தகம், நிர்வாகம், தொழில்நுட்பம், சமூக மேம்பாடு உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு துறைகளின் வல்லுநர்களையும் உள்ளடக்கிய,ஒரு “செயல்திறன் மிக்க” ஆலோசனைக் குழுவை அமைத்து, தமிழகத்தை மீண்டும் வலுவான நிதிப் பாதைக்கு கொண்டு செல்லும் நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று தமிழக அரசைக் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.

If a paper leak occurred, the very same voices would be the first to shout administrative failure. You cannot demand a flawless, leak-proof system and then complain about the strict security protocols required to guarantee it.

We must understand the sheer scale of this exercise. Conducting #NEET for over 24 lakh students simultaneously across 4,750 centers nationwide is a colossal administrative and logistical task. Protecting the integrity of an examination of this magnitude demands uncompromising security to ensure absolute fairness for every single candidate.

For years, parties like #DMK thrived on spreading baseless misconceptions and manufacturing fear around NEET for cheap political gains. It is only now that the dust is settling. Tamil Nadu’s students have finally broken free from this politically created shadow and are confidently stepping into exam centers to prove their merit.

Stringent security is a global standard to protect merit. During #Suneung exam of #SouthKorea, the entire nation halts, flights are grounded and the stock market is delayed just to facilitate a fair, secure, and distraction-free environment for students.

During your En Mann En Makkal yatra in Tiruchendur (14 Aug 2023), you rightly exposed how the DMK protected private medical lobbies while NEET actually empowered underprivileged students. You strongly urged political parties to stop emotionally exploiting our youth. It is deeply disappointing to see you now echoing the very same panic-inducing narratives you once condemned.

I earnestly request you not to add fuel to the fire. Our young minds do not need unwarranted panic right now. Let’s support them in facing a transparent, secure exam instead of reviving the artificial stress the DMK peddled for so long.

Yes, you read it right. But these are not arrangements to buy high-level, classified, military-grade software. These are the arrangements made by the Ministry of Education for the NEET retest scheduled for 21st June 2026.

Every student would appreciate the government's efforts to prevent paper leaks by implementing additional security measures and enhanced monitoring. But an increase in scrutiny before entry, extended frisking, and an increase in the overall exam time from 180 minutes to 195 minutes will only add to their already ballooning exam pressure.

While the government has taken measures to contain leaks, they have forgotten the additional burden they have imposed on a young student before they take up an assessment, one that they have spent months preparing for, dissolving the entire purpose of our exam system and the NEP 2020’s goal to reduce “Exam Stress”.

Despite all these arrangements for the examination, there are issues with downloading the admit cards, and NTA has assured students that it will resolve them at the earliest.

Yes, there are challenges that demand meaningful solutions. However, I am concerned that the approach devised for the NEET retest may not resolve the issue; instead, it risks creating a new set of problems.
