Congratulations to Wilson Andersen '26, who this morning in downtown Tampa was presented with the Wade Boggs Award as the top baseball player in Hillsborough County!
Andersen, who is pictured with head coach Miguel Menendez, propelled the Tigers to the State Championship this season with his prowess as a hitter and pitcher.
Andersen led the Tigers with a .426 avg and 1.246 OPS, which was compiled on 40 hits in 112 at bats, including 4 HR, 4 triples, 11 doubles, and 36 RBI.
On the mound, Andersen, who signed with Mississippi State and is projected to be selected in the MLB draft this summer, was 11-2 with a 1.62 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 69 innings.
In the 9-0 win over Orlando Bishop Moore for the State title, Andersen went 6 1/3 innings, allowing just 1 hit with 12 strikeouts to complete his 4-year Jesuit career with a 24-7 record, 1.79 ERA, and 302 strikeouts in 195 innings.
