@AdyG28@mattjameswright What do you own after burning £7k of petrol? Nothing!! My total lease cost is LESS than I used to spend on petrol. Add in no depreciation, maintenance etc it’s a total no brainer. Where’s the benefit of owning a depreciating asset 🤷♂️
@WYSIW@RichardWellings I’ve got 30 years experience of used ice, always bought around 40-60k miles and run to death at around 100-120k. Depreciation 100%. Last 4 yrs we lease EV for about the cost of the petrol. Zero bills, brand new v used, great cars. CHEAPER TCO THAN A 20 yo petrol banger!
@latimeralder I don’t burn any oil or gas. I drive, cook, heat and light on electric- 60% of which is from my own solar and the rest is off peak via a battery. If everyone did that we’d be a net exporter of oil and laughing all the way to the bank at the Hormuz shenanigans
@torrance_powers@ClarksonsFarm1 But it wouldn’t. Banging panels on yer roof and getting a home battery and switching to EV would but filling for oil just wouldn’t
@SimonCarGuy@Timoldland Bit disingenuous to say the highest polluting country on earth without giving the per capita figure which puts them way down the list or acknowledging that they make half the worlds ‘stuff’ so obv create the bad stuff as well but should be attributed to the consuming country
@latimeralder It my car uses electricity directly and my home is heated by electricity directly and I cook only with electricity 🤔 I also generate 60% of all the electricity I use myself via solar on my roof and the rest is off peak via a home battery. I don’t burn coal, oil or gas sooooo 🤷♂️
@nigelsson@LeagueOne25 Or it’s the strongest it’s been for years with everyone beating everyone else (Lincoln apart!) Does one freak side spending £30m and getting 100 plus points mean the league was strong last year? Stupid take
@latimeralder Funny, since I got home solar and batteries my leccy bill averages £0 even though we home charge 2 EVs. Seem to pretty well as far as I can see
