@derrickouthere Sodom and Gomorra were destroyed (according to the text) because they were inhospitable, not for the reason my Sunday school teacher told me.
Those who have read the Odyssey will remember that Helen of Troy is also pictured within a tapestry she herself is weaving. So why is no one talking about how Helen is made of yarn? Maybe Nolan should’ve cast a muppet?
@DaveBlass@RMBee I was the target audience for this film but it was called "John Carter" (the main character of the "ER" tv show) and the logo was "JC" (as in Christ) it felt like sci-fi slop -- I had no idea til after it bombed that it was Edgar Rice Burroughs classic. 100% intentional fail
@RMBee Ironic that Iger then murdered Star Wars. Imagine telling Steven Soderbergh "no" because you Bob Iger "Didn't get it." OK boomer. Also succession is one of the key metrics of success... just ask Marcus Aurelius why he's not the #1 Emperor.
@lo_l_la_res Jeptha makes a reckless vow and then follows through with killing his daughter to appease his own vanity (rather than admitting a simple mistake) and then a New Testament writer puts him into the "faith hall of fame" for some reason... ???
