South City Way Friends are a group of residents who support the council's efforts to develop a dedicated cycle route from Queens Park to the City centre.
@geomannie531 bear in mind this section is still incomplete. Refer to the section south of Queen St for a more faithful representation of what it will be like when finished.
@thebobster888@MickFleetwood66 We expect attitudes will change as more and more segregated cycle infrastructure is rolled out across the city, as people start to use the lanes in significant numbers and people become more familiar with them.
There is a loading bay on the other side of the bar. This just requires a process change to approach the pub from a northbound direction. Come on @TennentsLager - this needs dealt with fairly

@Fuzzy19362853 Not sure we agree with this assessement. These are still early days on a single incomplete route. As with the Southwest City Way, in time (and with targeted enforcement) things will improve
@thebobster888@MickFleetwood66 Even in its incomplete state, it's already helping people to cycle along the route, including people who otherwise wouldn't if not for the protection of the lanes.
@thebobster888@MickFleetwood66 Not sure we agree it's "terrible". The cyclepath is delineated from the footway by a stepped kerb and a different colour of tarmac. This sort of design is used extensively in cities such as Copenhagen. With some tinkering and better enforcement, the situation can be remedied.
@GovanhillGo@AnnaLangside@BeyondBicycle@KirsteenWright With that in mind, would be interested to know what "ridges" are being referred? The actual kerbs between footway and path? Or is it the tactile paving itself? If the former, would be good to know which ones specifically. (If the latter, well they are to aid people with a VI)
