@MayorOfWY But WY is also the 4th largest county by population, so there are more households paying that precept? Not sure that argument holds up to scrutiny.
@MayorOfWY Any chance that you and @AndyBurnhamGM could get your heads together and sort out the extortion of cross-border rail fares between WY and GM?
@fleetstreetfox Given that the 100% of the boats are enabled by Brexit and the UK's withdrawal from the Dublin agreement, "whatever it takes" is surely rejoining the EU (or at least the SM/CU)?
@MetroTravelNews@BeeNetwork I was hoping that Metro, as the body that claims to coordinate public transport, could do some coordinating that might have a bit more weight than customer feedback that they won't even read for weeks
@Nintenmarz@ExploringAlway@oliviakarenn1 To move to most EU countries and work, you would need a visa which has to be sponsored by a company there who would have to demonstrate that they couldn't have recruited an EU resident to do the job.
"Easier" doesn't begin to cover the difference.
@Nintenmarz@ExploringAlway@oliviakarenn1 That's a whole separate angle of why the post I was replying to is ridiculous.
"No, nothing stopping those under 25s relocating to EU." - The loss of Freedom of Movement courtesy of Brexit is literally stopping people from relocating.
@ExploringAlway@oliviakarenn1 This is such a non-argument. By this logic, those who didn't like the UK being in the EU should have relocated rather than pushing for Brexit.
@peterwi41049021@oliviakarenn1 It's not buyer's remorse when you take something back and demand your statutory rights because it was mis-described and mis-sold.
@MetroTravelNews Given how embarrassing the Sunday/BH timetables are in many places (two buses every two hours, 5 minutes apart on my route on a major Huddersfield A Road) I'm not sure that drawing attention to it helps the cause.
@real_shirelass@RNLI As Brexit (and our being dragged out of the Dublin agreement which allowed asylum seekers to be returned to the first EU country they encountered) is the literal reason for the Farage Boats, don't you agree that nobody should support Reform UK whose idiot leader caused them?
@WestSpotter @EYFillingham It was a general comment which seemed relevant given the picture was on a First bus rather than one of his company's. Although I think he was at FWY when they started the spiral of timetable shredding in response to low usage post covid rather than making the service attractive
@WestSpotter @EYFillingham If you think the current timetables are adequate, you're entitled to that opinion. I doubt many who have to put up with First Huddersfield share it. Having to plan your life around an infrequent service is not my idea of the way to get people to change their driving habits.
