The road to success is always under construction.
Champions don't focus on competing with an opponent.
Champions compete to be better today than they were yesterday.
There is a need to improve in defeat or victory-even in the smallest way.
"Success doesn’t find talent.
Success finds energy, hard work, commitment, and resilience.
Lots of small battles fought every single day.
Some you win, some you lose... but winners always show up ready to fight." @Jon_Reader
Sometimes this world can make you feel like you don’t matter, but that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Everybody is somebody to somebody. Whether you have a positive impact on 1 person or millions, you are changing lives and making the world a better place. You matter.
Coaches know you aren’t all in when you:
Act like you’re above others
Make excuses
Don’t listen with ears/eyes
Whine
Shut down when coached
Don’t communicate
Think rules don’t apply to you
Don’t do extra work
Pout when subbed/benched
Don’t support teammates
Play for “me”, not we
“I'm not the strongest, I'm not the fastest, I can't jump the highest, so for me, it's doing it in other ways: changing paces, using your body to get open, knowing your defender. A lot goes into it. You have to study the game” - Devin Booker
