When Will Sanjiv Bhatt Get Justice?

This is one of the saddest chapters of our history. An honest, brave and dedicated IPS officer, Sanjiv Bhatt, has been in jail for more than nine years.

He became a symbol of courage because he stood by his principles and spoke against injustice. Many IPS officers have come and gone, but Sanjiv Bhatt is still remembered for his courage and his fight for truth.

Whether one agrees with him or not, every person deserves a fair and just legal process. His case should not be forgotten.

It is time for justice-loving people and the Gen Z generation to raise this issue, ask questions and demand justice through peaceful and democratic means.

We salute Sanjiv Bhatt for his courage and pray for his safety, justice and early release.

It is tragic that this young man is so dejected by the government’s continued denial and inaction over China’s push into our territory in Arunachal Pradesh that he has resigned himself to his fate and issued a goodbye message to India.

How will the government respond?

▪️Deny that there is Chinese encroachment in Arunachal Pradesh?

▪️Call Meta and suppress this and other such messages?

▪️Find this young man, hound him, harass him and force him to apologise - so that the Prime Minister can then make a midnight reel to “forgive” him?

The truth is that we face a grave danger as a country. And this government cannot address it because it refuses even to acknowledge it - because doing so would expose its own incompetence and lies.

Turns out my content on Instagram too was restricted in India. What is this blanket ban on protest related and Modi related content? It is unconstitutional and illegal. It is absolutely ridiculous.

We appeal to @Meta to not succumb to such high-handed pressure from the government. Algos must moderate grossly illegal content, not police free expression. The entire point of free internet is this. Any social media platform doing this under pressure is going against free speech principles and public interest.
