To end racism, we need racists to CHANGE right? Then why we are so quick to cancel celebrities for things they did or said 10+ yrs ago? Especially if they were young at the time. They are ultimately damned if they do, damned if they don't. 1/2 #MarkWahlberg
Did landlord previously screen for the unemployed, stay at home parents and retired? I'd expect there to be laws against that. Who'd have thought that remote work would end up a topic on discrimination?!
As a landlord who owns multiple properties, tenants don't understand what we go through. If you stay at home all day you're going to use the floor, switches, toilets, kitchen more which increases the maintenance that needs to be done and the apartment ages twice as quickly.
@docchai2022@NYCMayor Unfortunately our prison system is overloaded with non violent offenders. We overspend locking up people for offenses that you likely wouldn't serve time for today. Now overcrowding leads to violent offenders back out on the streets. It's all madness.
Can we please outlaw prior authorizations? Everyday I get a notice from the pharmacy requiring me to justify why I want to use a medication… and it’s for things like doxycycline. Why does a nameless third party who has never seen or examined the patient have any say in what treatment my patients receive? They also have no accountability if their decision results in patient harm. @HHSGov
If a man wants to go into a bathroom to assault a woman, he’s not going to change his hormones, grow out his hair, get surgery, put on makeup, and go the whole 9 yards to do so. He will just simply walk in there and assault you. There’s no reason to fear a trans woman. They risk their lives to be who they are.
@pigbimpin_@bankertobuilder I think it is, or at least it has to do more with real estate. I remember reading a thread about it recently. I think it was on Reddit.
@JaymetheRN My friend died of cardiac arrest last year and his sister/medical doctor was sitting next to him and immediately began CPR. Isn't it usually unsurvivable unless they have a defibrillator on hand?
