@MartinSLewis I managed to lower mine by using Qhidco for cashback and changing the renewal date made a significant difference - even if it meant my car was uninsured for one day. Also excess at £150, more put the price up.

@HastingsDirect Yesterday car quote was £356, called back today to purchase and price is now £453. Telephone "support" just give 'computer says no' response. Not hard to see why I went elsewhere is it...
