We need to talk about how the charities non-autistic people pick are Very Harmful to autistic people.
This is what .@NEXTforAUTISM did with the money they raised -

Additional question: are there any Black educators, advocates, activists, or academics who talk about these specific topics who you would recommend following?
TYSM sorry for the trouble, tried google scholar and am waiting on access to some papers too.
Hey I got a question for Black ppl, and specifically would like to hear recs. from Black academics:
Do you have or know of any good research on race in relation to exercise and the study of the human metabolic system?
I have no idea what to tag this.
@MoritaniE idk, do self-dx'd autistics feel that's okay? #actuallyautistic was started to prevent speaking over, so feel like self-dx'd auts should choose their boundaries too. 😌

And to be clear, access to a diagnoses is fraught with bigotry. So if you’re belief of
If you know this and aren’t actively seeking to put an end to this racist and oppressive system, then you are saying you are fine with white supremacy and therefore you are my enemy
I'm #DiagnosedAutistic, considered "high support needs/severe" autistic and I support self-diagnosis. I don't support autism moms trying to tell my community how we should advocate for ourselves and act as a community. I'm #ActuallyAutistic and proud.
